Sunshine and New Adventures

Today, Monday, was unusually full of sunshine, new opportunities, and motivation! It was a great day! It could have been my girl time Sunday that recharged the battery, but whatever it was, I am so grateful! Whew!
The sunshine was amazing! We spent time outside! And we cleaned the car! The kids were impressed, as usual, with the car wash. No tears from the little ones this time! And Grayson is learning how to help vacuum, so that's fun too! Yippee! :)
New opportunities were also great! We started, as inspired by a blog, here, to attempt "clean eating"...her stuff seems realistic! I like it! It feels doable! She has an 80/20 approach so it doesn't feel over whelming! And all her food fits my goal to cook more! I made steak in the crock pot tonight, inspired by her, and it really was delicious! :) We have also indulged in lots of fruit and veggies today! I even made my own pancake mix! (Don't faint!) ;)
Another new opportunity, was a homeschool math and science class that's offered at the local college! It seemed to be a wonderful experience for Grayson! He told me all about the constellations when I picked him up! (And we will be going out to check them out on the telescope tonight!) He absolutely loved it. And it even gave me a couple hours to lay the little ones down for a nap and get some housework done! It really was a nice change of pace for us all! :)
It was a wonderful start to this week!! And now hoping to throw in earlier bedtimes (for us) and a little tweak in our schedule, to add to the change of pace! As much as I dislike change, sometimes I think it can be a really good thing! :)
Here's to a great week for you all!!! :)

Picnic in the car before we walked Grayson into his class. :)
Yummy steak, potatoes (peeled by Grayson), and carrots! :)

Cute quote from Grayson that I couldn't resist sharing...he had a wonderful school day today! As we were finishing up, he looks at me and says, "school really is fun and easy when you have a good attitude!" I am thankful for this lesson learned (I will also try to keep that in mind!) and I pray it sticks! ;) So, from the mouth of my five year old, a good attitude makes all the difference! :)
