I think back on how life has progressed and changed over the last year and I can hardly believe it! I'm relieved in a sense, because, to be honest, pregnancy, birth, and newborns are scary. It's overwhelming, I don't care how many kids you have! I find myself just praying every day to make it to the next, ha! Then a year passes and the pregnancy and birth only leave behind fond memories and this little scary newborn begins to develop a personality and looks all their own, you're becoming Analeigh. Making a name for yourself in our family. Each day you show us more of who you are and it's beautiful. It's been an absolute delight to get to know you. You’re definitely different in a lot of ways from the other three but at the same time, similarities reveal themselves! You look a lot like your oldest brother, you have the sweetness of your beautiful sister, very similar personality of your little brother (I think yall are going to be quite the pair together!) and then there's something so different, something only Analeigh can bring to our family. You're a little demanding (but sweet!), give the best cuddles, picky (but sweet!), loyal, needy at times (but sweet!), very vocal (but did I mention sweet? ;) ). The older you get, the less clingy and more independent you become. You love to eat and try new things, you're so eager to keep up with the others! Needless to say, being the youngest of four, you are very busy...quite different from my laid back Grady! I'm not sure if you'll be the princess type like Ada or a little tom boy! It'll be fun to find out :) and although this is our last and it's a little bittersweet, it will be such a delight to continue watching you become you! It's fun!! And such a blessing!
My little one, what love you have filled all of our hearts with. You have completed our little family and we all adore you. You are a strong, beautiful girl. Life with you is a blast! Your sister still feels she's living a dream, your brothers adore you and I'm pretty sure no harm will come your way if they can help it. You've completed our hearts and we are so glad you are ours! Praying for many many years to love on you! What a privilege it was to assist God in bringing such a beautiful miracle into the world. Happy first birthday, my little amazing love. This most definitely has been, one sweet year!
