Palmetto 200
A couple weeks ago, Chris had the opportunity to relay with a team across the state! He has been anticipating this since last year when he suffered an injury and wasn't able to complete all his assigned legs of the relay. We were are thrilled for him to get another chance and he was ready to go! They began the relay Friday morning in Columbia around 4am and ended in Charleston Saturday around 11:30! It was awesome to witness all these people come together and and work towards a common goal! I've said it before, but I love his dedication, willingness to work and heart! What a wonderful leader he is for our family! I was lucky enough to be able to greet him at the finish line! I was proud to be there with him! And excited to spend a night there in Charleston with him too! It was a great weekend! :)

Analeigh's First Zoo Trip
Spring has sprung and we are really getting into a good groove with our new family dynamics. Rosey was in town for a few days last week so we took advantage and planned a zoo day! What fun! Everyone had the best time and I don't think it will be long before we head back! ;) Analeigh did great for her first "big" outing! She enjoyed people watching and even managed to get a couple short stroller naps. Her favorite thing this time was the fish tanks. She was quite into those. The big kids enjoyed showing her around and really had a great time themselves since it had been awhile! Fun day to remember for sure!

Adventures In US History
WE did it! Grayson and Ada have completed Adventures in US history and Grady completed the Voyage of Discovery! Both from My Father's World...it's a great fit for us! Enough but not too much, complete so I don't have to piece together, and lots of exploring and doing! We love the laid back gentle approach when it comes to schooling, there will be plenty of years later to go hardcore, graded assignments and tests, in our opinion. So for now, until probably 8th grade or so, we are going to soak up the world around us and enjoy their childhood, because let's be honest...it goes by waaayyyy faster than we would like!
The big kids have been so eager to have an art show and time just hasn't allowed, but after reading that they were encouraged to have a patriotic party for the end of school, we decided that would be the perfect time to do it! I think it turned out great and they had the best time! I wanted them to have a goal in mind for their art show earnings so they both decided they would like to go to Camp Invention at the college this summer. This is Ada's first summer she really gets to participate in much, because previous ones were devoted to gym. So they plan to go to Papa and Rosey's VBS, Camp Invention, Trinity's VBS and Art Camp! They are thrilled! It's going to be an awesome summer! :)
The celebration included a few of our closest friends and family, patriotic snacks, games and a silent auction art show! They loved planning and hosting it! So much fun for all and a great way to end our year!

Ada led everyone in the pledge and Grayson played The Battle Hymn of the Republic for everyone to kick off the party! :)
