Summer's End

Just like that, another summer has come and gone. It's not officially fall yet but Labor Day is here, school is back in session, the temperatures are changing and fall sports are in full swing, so for us, summer's end has arrived. It's been a busy, wonderful, memorable one! :) It seems it just began yesterday!

It was a packed full summer! It had special days, busy days, and mixed in with the perfect amount of quiet lazy days. We started with a visit to Great Wolf Lodge, Camping trip to Edisto. We tackled several house projects, had our little loved baptized. Summer included several extras for the big kids, including Camp Invention, Art camp, dance and football camp. We spent many days swimming away! They had VBS at our church and Rosey and Papa's, several beach trips and a total solar eclipse, right in their backyard! It's been a great summer to say the least! It seems they just get better and better as the years pass.

The beach is a favorite spot for all of us so that never gets old! The solar eclipse was for sure a day to remember, and being able to share it with our favorite people in our back yard was pretty amazing! We ushered summer out this weekend with one last visit to the coast for the year and lots of relaxed family fun. It was the perfect ending. And now, as the cooler temps are creeping in, we await fall with welcome hearts! The wind is beginning to blow and the intolerable heat is moving out slowly. The little one loves to feel the wind blow through her hair and we are excited to experience her first fall with her! The big kids are beyond excited to spend the days exploring and playing outside. The simple beauty of fall is craved and full of colorful innocence.  We are all looking forward to making wonderful memories and yet can hardly believe another years end is just around the corner!

Now excuse the photo overload as I catch up on documenting! :)
