Back to what I was saying...we went to visit two of our favorites and then Chris and I got most of Saturday to spend together...it was amazing! I would say its been over a year since we had an entire day to ourselves! We had an amazing time! We visited the Foxfire Museum, walked and shopped, and ate and TALKED! No, that is not a typo...Chris and I actually talked! It was a wonderful, wonderful, much needed, much appreciated day!
Then Sunday was filled with church and an afternoon visit to the children's museum! The big kids love that place and Chris and I got to take them without the little one, which was a fun treat for them and us...and Papa and Rosey probably enjoyed having the little one all to themselves, seeing as that doesn't happen much because of the distance, so I think it was fun for all! :)
Needless to say, before We even got out of the door good, we were missing them already...
Thankful for the time with them and with each other! But will definitely be counting down the days till the next visit ;)
On our way home, we decided to do something that has been difficult for me for lots and lots of reasons! Some are "mommy protective", some deep, some superficial and selfish, but all real at the moment! We took our little family to eat dinner with my Mom's new significant other and family. Dinner was fine and probably needed to happen, but now I am just exhausted. Grayson and Ada did get to ride on a backhoe which was exciting for both of them! They love being outside and doing stuff! :)
It was a wonderful weekend that has come to an end, and I am thankful, happy, and overjoyed that we had such a great one, while I am exhausted and overwhelmed from it and sad to see it end! So I will just have my fit and go to bed! And as my children pray every night " help me sleep good and wake up happy in the morning"! :)
Before I go here's a few pictures from the weekend!

I love the way you write, Ali - you are able to put down on paper what so many of us can't... Phil had that gift also. I'm so glad it was a good weekend! Love you.
