Sunday is always a favorite day of the week for me! Chris is home and usually there is very little we have committed to do, so it's low key, slow paced, wonderful!
We attend church regularly...it gets the week started off right. It's very important to me that our family be involved in church and so thankful that Chris and I both see this as important and necessary. We attend a wonderful wonderful church. It's not gigantic, but big enough. And it's not the building or the preacher that makes it great...although, I must say...the previous preacher added an extra touch of wonderful! ;), and the building itself, is where we got married and our children were baptized, but it's the people. Those people watched me grow from a child and Chris from a young teenager. They showed us amazing support when we got married. And again when each of our kids were born. And they continue showing our children so much love. There are people there that I love about as much as family. They are just wonderful. Everywhere has its nuts of course! ;) But there are some truly wonderful, faith filled, amazing people at our church. Most of my family has left for various reasons, but chris and I will call this "our" church for a long time, I think! So like I was saying, church is a very important part of our lives!!
We had a fun lunch with family and then a quiet afternoon of play and preparation for the upcoming week!
Some memorable moments from today, was the excitement that filled my children, after a children's moment on giving at church, the kids immediately wanted decorate their "giving glass" when they got home. They discussed, on the way home, exactly what they needed to do with them! It was one of those moments you realize, even when you think they may not be listening, they are! And oh how important it is to me to teach them to give. To love. To show compassion for their neighbor. And to know they are learning this, at church, does my heart good! :)
Ada also got her Rapunzel hair today...we did wait until after church, because we were sure she would really want to wear it there! ;) Grayson also decided, since he can tie his shoes now...he should also master tying them together! Haha! He figured out quickly that wasn't a smart idea! ;)
We missed our grandparents today on Grandparent's Day...but if I may brag, I am pretty sure my kids have some of the best ones there are! They add a touch of wonderful, an extra dose of special love, a little more silly to their lives. They may only have one Papa, but I am pretty sure, as awesome as he is, they only need one! ;) And there's Rosey...their BFF! They love her so!! And Nina, my mom, usually brings with her the silly's and lots of love. And there are a few very special "adopted" grandmothers that they also love dearly! These kids are blessed! And they love their grandparents! Although, we missed hugging them tight, we sent our love, and must tell the world, they truly are THE BEST! ;)
