Trapped By The Sewing Room...AGAIN!

So, I was going to blog a couple hours ago about all the cool Pinterest projects my sister-in-law and I got done today...and then I started cutting fabric for a dress I want to make Ada Grayce for our fall family pictures...and then I noticed the dress I already had cut out and have been meaning to make...so I did! ;) Now, it's late...and I will be so tired in the morning, because I am now waiting on my clothes to wash! In the mean time, I will write that blog post that I meant to do a couple hours ago! :)
The day started out, by dropping of my big boy to stay with his Papa and Rosey for 6 days...6 days! That sounds like a lot, but I think he is going to have a blast! He gets to go to their church and their VBS this week! He was SOOOO excited! We have a meeting place about halfway between our house and theirs, and it just happens to have a carousel! Very small one, but a carousel nonetheless! So Grady got his first ride! :)

Please excuse the blurriness, they were moving :) 4 twenty five cent rides and we had 3 happy kiddos!

After that, the fun of a baby shower for a good friend and a rare day to craft with my sister-in-law! It was really a lot of fun and very productive! We completed or started several things on my Pinterest "to-do list"! All of which were for the kids! :)

We started with positive behavior jars! We will be placing a glass bead in every time they are "caught" being good! And I am hoping that a nice date with mommy and daddy following it getting filled up is good motivation to be good! :)

Philippians 2:14 says "Do everything without grumbling or arguing" So that is the goal of these! A little less grumbling! ;) Original pin for these and where I got the idea can be found at http://209.59.145.56/blog/2012/01/whining-childhow-to-stop-whining-in-children/
Start the week with a certain amount of quarters, remove one and put in siblings jar if complaining and remove one from both if arguing! They keep what's left at the end of the week! :) We haven't tried it yet, but hoping for great things to eliminate whining, etc!

These little buckets we will use to keep our self  busy on road trips! Kid friendly songs and car friendly games!

I have been wanting to do one of these for quite sometime! And with the help of my wonderful sister-in-law, it finally got done! There are popsicle sticks inside with family and friends names on it and each night they will pick out a person to pray for from the bucket! :)

Just a few pictures of my sister-in-law at work! :)
She uses a Cricut machine very efficiently and is always willing to label stuff for me! :) And we decided after today, we really should do this more often!

And then of course, Ada and I got to love on each other some before bed and I hit the sewing room after that! I worked on two dresses at the same time, but only completed one tonight! I was getting a little confused trying to work on two different dresses  at the same time!

But tonight's finished dress looks like this...

I love the shirred sundress which I found here...http://sewmuchtodo.com/shirring/
This technique can be tiresome after the 9th or 10th time going around, but I love the style! I am hoping this one fits for church in the morning, but I guess I won't wake her up to check! ;)
