Today started early...like 2:30 am early! We had a bad storm and my little lady is at the age where she is not very fond of these! Grayson slept right through as well as the little one! Although it was early, Ada Grayce and I had some time just for the two of us! (Individual time is hard to come by in this house) As I was explaining to her that God is always protecting us and how she can always come to us when she is afraid..."I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makes me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8, I got a little devotion in for myself as this can be applied to so much more than calming us during a thunder storm!
I know you are wondering where I got the One Extra Cookie title! Well, seeing as the day started at 2:30, those who know me well know that I have already been pumping up with Diet Dr. Pepper and Chocolate, because since having children, I am NOT a morning person! :) And so far the day is proving to be a very emotional, "bickery" (no that's not a word!) one for these kiddos...lack of sleep will do that! But along with all the highly emotional people running around here, I got a great surprise! I sat down to eat my breakfast of champions...or just my little bag of Chocolate Chip Cookies I had tucked away for just such a day and surprise!! I got an extra one today...or I just miscounted, but either way, YAY!! (Yes, I know EXACTLY how many cookies come in each bag!) Just what I needed! :) So, with that I say, Happy Wednesday everyone! :)
