We kicked off our camping for 2019 at Huntington Beach State Park! Beautiful beach and perfect site. The weather was a little chilly but the kids rode bikes and ran around to keep warm. Our site, 114, was nice and big and mostly shade during the day. The beach was just a short walk away and was a beautiful beach with lots of soft white sand and sharks teeth to find! It was a wonderful trip, and perfect birthday spot for Ada!
To say the kids were excited for this trip, would be an understatement. They were literally counting the days. They could NOT wait!! And as soon as we got there, they were off to explore the campground and ride their bikes until their heart was content!
The little one and I would go inside from time to time, to warm up a tad. She did great keeping her jacket and hat on, without much fuss, this trip. So that was awesome!
Our first full day was spent exploring Myrtle Beach and then back to the campground for sharks teeth hunting and sand angels. Out on the beach, in the sun, the weather was perfect! And the kids love the beach just as much not being in the water. They spent hours treasure searching and just playing in the sand.
Evenings by the fire are still a favorite. Grady absolutely loves a good fire. He could sit and think by the fire alllll day long. Uncle David and Aunt April came up on Friday night and were able to spend a couple nights with us! That was fun! I'm not sure how many hours were spent bike riding, fire side chatting and family game playing...and we already can't wait for our next trip together.
