Exploring The 47- Devils Fork State Park

Devils Fork! Ahhh...the Fall colors were brilliant, the weather was chilly, the campfire toasty, and the get away much needed! We weren't able to go on the original planned day, but decided it was worth the trip, even if cut short. We left after my grandmother's funeral and headed to the mountains. This was where I had chosen to camp for my birthday, and we had been very much looking forward to it. I'm so glad we decided to go, because the colors couldn't have been more beautiful! The park itself ranked very high on our list of state park rankings. We enjoyed the campsites and had a perfect spot with a trail right down to the water with an awesome view. The trails were good and it was close to lots of historical sites and waterfalls, if you want to go chasing! It was a perfect birthday trip!

Days of endless play!
Give Grady a campfire, and you give him the world. He's a simple boy!

All my boys! <3

A close by fun sight was Stumphouse Tunnel and Isaqueena Falls...both beautiful!

We did a little sight seeing and visited Oconee Station, a state historic sight, and well worth the trip. Rich in history and a beautiful ground to explore!

We called this our family tree. Not often you find a tree with 6 stumps! It was awesome :)

The weekend was most spent fishing, building tee pee's, leaf hunting and cuddling by the fire...absolutely perfect!
