Mothers

As I sit in the quiet stillness of my home, tlhe fridge is clean, groceries are bought and put away, Tiger Scout patches are sewed on and I have eaten lunch, I am thankful for mothers. They seem to know just when you need them. I think they still remember the days of young children. And as wonderful as these days are, sometimes the never ending demands can wear you out. And mothers seem to get that. I have two mommy's, both of which live within 3 hours of here, but some days it's just not quite close enough! I miss them lots and sometimes the weeks are long! But on the rare weekday when they are able to visit, I am reminded just how grateful I am for these mommy's.
This weekend, I got to spend a little time with my mom and that is always nice! I certainly miss the old days! ;) I certainly miss the multiple times a week visits, grocery shopping trips, and so much more, but thankful she still makes her way back here on occasion! ;)
And this week, my mother-in-love was off and able to spend a few days with us. It was much much needed and so perfect! Having this one day to breathe and catch up has helped me rekindle my little fire that was getting a little burnt out. ;)
Not only am I thankful for the mothers that these woman are to me, I am thankful for the grandmas that they are to my children. Grandmas make life a little sweeter, a little gentler, a little more fun. They never run out of love. They never tire of reading, hugging, swinging, and giggling. They are the best grandmas I could've ever asked for my children.
Today, Lord, I am thankful for the mothers and grandmothers you have blessed us with.  I pray that every day they know they are loved by us, more than we could ever say. <3
