School! We have been rocking right along! This school year is flying by!! We will be half way done with our year by the end of November and will take the month of December off from the formal curriculum and spend our time doing Truth In The Tinsel and some cute, Christmas fun that our elves may leave behind! ;) And I can only imagine how quickly this will come!!
Ada completed her unit on Nest, most of her 6 day units are being condensed into 5, only because it's more convenient for me to switch out both of their papers, etc on the same day. So we do! She seems to be keeping up very well, so this is great! Phonics starts in her next unit, and she is very interested in learning to read so I think it's perfect timing for her. :)
So here's a SMALL peak into what we have been working on...

Studying animal homes.
Fun with our pumpkin play dough! :)
We had "man made nests" as Grayson called them. ;) and pancakes to go with Ada's story.

It rained almost the whole week we talked about rain, so that worked out great! Science was definitely hands on.
We set up a restaurant, where Ada served and Grayson took orders and collected money. Grayson says this was the "funest" thing hes done!
Counting with pumpkin erasers. It's the little things! ;)
They had a blast with the grocery store! Ada would have played all day :) They took turns adding up the items, collecting the money, bagging it and putting it back on the shelf for the next shopper. This was great math practice as well as manners. ;)

And we spent today doing fun stuff! Park and painting...just fun! :)
Ada is moving on to her Turtle Unit and Grayson is off to week 9! :)
