The Joys of Homeschooling

Today, we celebrated our 50th day of school and had our exploration day. We did some special 50 day activities and spent the morning outdoors. Exploration day is scheduled for every Friday and it's usually just doing a science experiment or digging around studying the world around us. You can throw in some counting, colors, shapes, life lessons, and art! All the bases covered! And they all three get very into it!
We had a wonderful time making a river this morning! They all got super messy and ended up in the bathtub! And now everyone is tucked in tight for a nap. And while I could be doing something super productive (I am sure), I find myself just reflecting. Reflecting on these precious gifts we have been giving. Reflecting on the pure joys of homeschooling. Reflecting on just how grateful I am for the opportunity to do this!

No, it's not easy. No, I don't have unusually well behaved kids. No, I am not superwoman. But the days like today, make the not-so-good days fade away in a blink!

It really is such a joy. I am able to watch my children become such best friends. I am able to see them develop their faith and of course life skills. I am so incredibly thankful for this opportunity and can't imagine doing a single thing different! So thankful! <3
