Happy Birthday Jesus!

It's Christmas! It's Christmas! So many many wonderful memories made today and in the past month! It's been happy. It's been magical, It's been expectant as we kept our eyes on the manger...waiting for a baby! Not just any baby, but The Baby. The Baby who changed the world! What a wonderful wonderful time it has been! This has been the first year that Ada has been really into it and she has soaked up every little bit! And Grayson is 5, so it's all wonderful to him! I am so proud of them both and their love for Jesus. Their dependence on him. They know that he came as a baby to save even us! What an amazing thought....a little baby sent to save the likes of us. How incredibly thankful we are. Thank you, God, for sending Jesus. Thank you, God, for saving us!

And there's Santa...no, Santa didn't come to save us but, he can serve as a wonderful reminder of the joy that the tiny baby brought. Jesus, the first ever Christmas gift. We didn't earn it...or really even deserve it, but God loved us so much that He sent Him anyway. Just like that, we give. We give of ourselves at Christmas. We give to show people Jesus. We give to spread love, magic, and happiness. Chris and I (after much thought and prayer) like to think we are helping them believe, not so much in Santa, but in things they can not see or touch...even Jesus. They have to know how to do this in their life! God..just because we can't touch His physical being, doesn't mean He doesn't exist or that He isn't there. HE IS THERE! We see HIM in and through people. WE BELIEVE!

What wonder, love, and joy we have all experienced this Christmas season! Christmas is coming to a close, but maybe, just maybe we can all continue to share a little love, peace, joy and magic all throughout the coming year! I know my little family of 5 will work very hard at that! ;)

Leaving with a few pictures from the day! ;)

They prepared reindeer food and milk and cookies! And they also gave the chimney a full inspection before bed! ;)

"It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more."

First things first! We make Jesus a birthday cake every year and sing before we do presents Christmas morning! We have done this since Grayson's first Christmas and have made a tradition!
