Cesar's Head State Park. Such an amazing view! We looked for a while and then hit the trail there to Raven Cliff Falls, the tallest waterfall in South Carolina.
The awe and wonder of seeing miles and miles of God's creation all at once was just that...filled with breathtaking responses. They loved it and it absolutely never gets old.
Going into the "Devil's Kitchen"...squeezing through there was pretty amazing to the kids!
We set out on a two mile hike to find the waterfall. The biggest kids were all over it. They were in their element and happy as could be! Grady would get tired legs but he and I stayed together and rested and snacked and slowly but surely made our way to the waterfall! He's so proud now when he talks about it. He will never forget that journey and I'm so proud of him! Analeigh was loving being on daddy's back. She enjoyed all the sights and sounds. She and Daddy snacked and shared treats and she got so relaxed she went right to sleep! The natural beauty all around was just wonderful. And it wasn't just the destination that made the trip worth it, but the journey. Every little discovery, the family time and chit chat...it was all just perfect!
Once we made it, took about 50 minutes up, we enjoyed our lunch listening to the water! Then we headed back :)
After our hike, we went over to check out Jones Gap State Park. It was fantastic and we will definitely revisit to hike some trails, I hope! Beautiful little park along the mountain stream with a great trail system!
It was an awesome day of adventure! I think we will all remember it fondly for a long long time, if not forever!
