Legoland!

My final vacation posts..almost a month later. ;) Legoland Florida! We were too close not to visit. We have one Lego fanatic and a little girl that is following close behind him. Grayson discovered Legos about 2.5 years ago, and has been in love since. At 5, Ada can put almost any set together independently. She works intently and patiently through each step. It's pretty cool to watch. So, on our seven day trip, we set aside one day to visit Legoland.

Legoland is a jammed packed park, with something for everyone. We started from the back of the park and worked our way to the front. There were so many rides, most of which the two big kids could ride....roller coasters, go karts, boats, bikes, good food, characters, and so much more!! We stayed from open to close and rode every ride we could. They had saved up their hard earned "Lego bucks" and got to shop for a Lego set and treats at the end of the day. We use a ticket system for chore assignments and small rewards, but for the month of January we made 25 tickets=$2. This way they could work for their money and budget it how they would like. Then, just before our trip we took their chore change jars and cashed them in. They were both very smart money spenders! It was wonderful to see. :) (side note, I was extremely proud of myself for sticking to the budget and not giving them "just a little more" while we were on vacation. They went with their money and that's what they spent...although it sure could have been easy to do with so many options and it being a very rare trip, but the kids never asked for more than their money, so overall, I think we all did very well! :) )

So, here's the pictures to sum up our Legoland trip! It was definitely an awesome day!

The first roller coaster they spotted when we got there! They LOVED it! :)

The Lego City part was probably the best to them. They loved driving the cars and when they finished, they got a "driver's license"...Grayson really thought he was something! ;)

Duplo Valley was perfect for Grady! They had a little train, tractors and free play area. He had a ball! And while he and Ada played, Grayson and I went and rode some of the big roller coasters. :)

So that's it! So much fun! Such wonderful memories! Loved EVERY single minute of it! :)
