We spent a family day exploring at South Carolina's very own national park, Congaree National Park. It was just about 1.5 hrs from us and the kids loved exploring the trails, inside at the displays and completing the junior ranger program. It was a great way to spend a Saturday!

We made a 2 mile round trip on a hot humid day in the swamp! Part of our route was the boardwalk trail and it was fun to let them run ahead and discover whatever caught their interest.
Fancy lunchable picnic to follow before we went inside to explore the exhibits and complete the junior ranger program.
