Exploring The 47- Baker Creek State Park

Baker Creek State Park was where we spent our March camping weekend! It was delightfully peaceful, a little chilly, but still comfortable and lots of relaxed outdoor fun was had! We enjoyed fishing, playground playing, marshmallow roasting and sunset watching. It was simple. It was quiet. It was perfect.

Every evening (and afternoon during baby sister's nap) marshmallows were roasted and lots of conversation and giggles accompanied!

Park time, bubbles, fishing, bike riding, and imagination filled 90% of the days. Not much structured entertainment and it was lovely.

Grady asked before leaving if we could make a sailboat he saw in a book while there, so we took everything along and Dad lended him a hand and it turned out great! Happy boy smiles!

We left on St. Patrick's day, big sister helped Grady set a leprechaun trap and she's always such a sweet entertainer for little sister when we pack up. They make a lovely sibling team...most of the time they really work together and value each other and we couldn't ask for more!
It was a quick trip but a great one! Everyone started counting down that day for the next trip and now are eagerly awaiting our May trip! These little weekends are worth every minute of prep and every dollar spent...they make us better people and keep us grounded and centered, focused on what matters most to us. They are truly a treasure!
