Lake Hartwell State Park...It was our second trip in our little hideout! Tons of fun, hated to pack up and can't wait until the next trip!
Day 1 was spent riding bikes, swinging in hammocks, eating good food and drawing on the sidewalk :)
Testing out the raft! It was a huge hit and will be lots of fun in the future too!
The big boys did a great job starting and keeping our fire going.
Day 2, on the water! Fishing, paddling, and swimming!
happiness! <3
The majority of our weekend was spent inside the park just hanging out on the water and by the fire. The kids love just bike riding, digging around and discovering whatever nature has to offer that day. Fun stuff.
The state park office, had a very neat little nature center in it, and the kids really enjoyed looking around in there at the animals and fish.
We were able to spend a couple hours visiting with some adopted family. It was a cherished visit and I believe Doris was a happy grandma! Analeigh was very sweet and loved on her lots!
FOOODDD...It was all pretty good! Jar salads, pancakes, hotdogs, BACON and eggs, sandwhiches,...nothing super special, except maybe the ice cream...that was super yummy! ;) but it all taste better by the fire in the woods! ;)
Grateful for these two and their willingness to hang out with us and allll our crazy kiddos! And they do it with a smile! ;) It's truly been a joy to discover this thing we all enjoy doing and making memories together! Looking forward to many more!
Before we headed out, we hiked the 3/4 mile trail within the state park...led to some great fishing spots and the most exciting thing, aside from climbing over and ducking under fallen trees was seeing a spider wrap up a horse fly in his web! Exciting stuff!
I love my people...Until we camp again! Up next is Hickory Knob!
