The End of Summer

This summer has come and gone and what a fun one it has been! We have stayed busy and enjoyed every minute! Tomorrow when we wake our new school year will begin. We are excited and looking forward to the adventures this year holds for us. Before it kicks off, I want to take just a minute to do a quick recap on our fun summer!

Enjoyed the water lots in the midst of the southern heat!

We spent lots of time at the library, checking out books and playing the computer.

Memorial Day parade!

Chris and I even had the chance to run away for a couple days. Oh what fond memories we made, just the two of us. Sweet, savored moments for sure!

Major milestone for this girl! Took off the training wheels and worked up the courage to ride! She's a pro now. ;)

These babies did an awful lot of growing this summer! I just couldn't figure out how to stop them. ;)

 Slip and slide!!
Grayson had the awesome opportunity to attend Camp Invention at the local college. This was so fun for him!

We celebrated Grayson's birthday at Tweetsie Railroad. After a few birthday parties over the years, we decided to give him a choice between a party or a day trip. We had so much fun on this trip! It was a great birthday.

We went for LOTS of walks and jogs! We have come to really really enjoy a good jog. The kids ride their bike, mom jogs, and the little one is just along for the ride! ;)

Watched the sunrise with this awesome boy!

We were fortunate enough to spend a week at Edisto (quite possibly my very favorite place on Earth!) with my mom and family. We spent lots of time in the waves and shell hunting! Good stuff!

Grayson attended scout camp and Chris was a den leader. They had a blast and now, just like this, my little boy is a wolf!

The little ones and I spent a few days visiting Papa and Rosey while the big boys enjoyed scout camp.

We had several visits with our buddies :)

Got to enjoy a weekend with our Day-Day and April! The kids lived it up at the beach and Grayson went on his first big boy fishing trip. He caught 4 sharks and 2 sting ray. He will talk about that forever!

We ended up the summer with a week of fun and VBS with the cousins! Fun stuff!

So that's it! Grayson and Ada got to each spend time with Papa and Rosey this summer, which of course was a big highlight for them! We still have a few more fun things planned, but will throw it in with school work. ;) Until next year! :)
