Coming Together!

Today's blog is all about the school space! Yesterday's nerves were enough to get me moving! We made a trip to Staples today and did some laminating and school supply shopping, and during nap time, I got to work! I accomplished a lot during just that hour and a half, and then finished up after bedtime! I can actually breath tonight, knowing just about everything is done! So here's a look of our school space...

We have our calendar to review the date, season, and weather.

 



His desk :) I added a special first day sign, and put out our books for the first unit! We are following the My Father's World Kindergarten curriculum. We will also be using a calendar notebook, which I got all put together today! This will be his notebook that he follows along, writing and reviewing our daily circle time.

 

His portfolio is ready to be started! :)

All of this will also be discussed at circle time...books of the bible, how many days in school and our obedience prayer :)

This I thought would help keep him focused! A little reminder of what unit we will be studying and what our words to remember! And he will be doing a daily journal entry so I will write his journal prompt there for him!

 

I am just a little proud because I even got our workboxes filled for our first day of school!

We decided to use the workbox system because I think it fits both Grayson and I well and will keep us on track! :)

Grayson is super excited as well am I to begin this journey! He is well equipped with all his Lego supplies, which he says "I will use very responsibly, mom!" :) Can't wait to see how much fun we will have! :)
